The center features a series of multimedia exhibits that provide an in-depth account of the events leading up to the attack, the attack itself, and its aftermath.
One of the most notable exhibits is a short documentary film that uses historical footage and interviews with survivors to give visitors a firsthand account of the attack. There are also numerous interactive displays and exhibits that allow visitors to explore the history of the attack in greater detail. For example, visitors can see artifacts from the attack, such as aircraft and weapons, and learn about the strategies and tactics used by the Japanese military.
2. USS Arizona Memorial
The tour of the USS Arizona Memorial typically begins with a narrated tour of the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, which includes exhibits and displays that detail the events of the attack on Pearl Harbor. After the visitor center, the tour proceeds to the USS Arizona Memorial, where admission is provided as part of the tour package.
The USS Arizona Memorial is a sunken battleship that remains at the bottom of the harbor, serving as a somber tribute to the 1,177 sailors and Marines who lost their lives when the ship was bombed on December 7, 1941. Visitors board a Navy-operated shuttle boat to travel across the harbor to the memorial, where they can pay their respects and learn more about the attack.
3. Downtown Honolulu
At the end of the tour, visitors will be guided through downtown Honolulu and discover the rich history of Hawaii. They will be awed by the stunning architecture of landmarks such as the Iolani Palace and Kawaiaha’o Church, as well as learning about the monarchy-era and the history of the Hawaiian people. They may visit the famous statue of King Kamehameha I, who united the islands under one rule. Visitors will also discover the influence of the American and Chinese cultures in Hawaii, signposted by the buildings and shops from these countries. Activity itinerary
The sights and sounds of December 7th, 1941 come alive on E Noa Tours’ Pearl Harbor Tours. While most Pearl Harbor tours only focus on the attack at Pearl Harbor, this tour crafts an experience that includes what it was like to live in Honolulu during the days that followed and your guide will provide fascinating personal stories, along with historical and cultural background. You'll never forget your visit to the Pearl Harbor Visitor's Center and the USS Arizona Memorial.
Stand at ground zero of the surprise attack that drew America into World War II. Gaze up at a crystal-blue sky once filled with enemy planes. History was made in this place on December 7, 1941. It began as a quiet Sunday morning. Now that date, as President Roosevelt said, will forever "live in infamy". You'll feel the power of this sacred place upon entering the Pacific Historic Parks Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Here you'll witness rare artifacts and multimedia displays. They explain what happened before, during and after the aerial attack. The assault killed more than 2,400 American sailors, soldiers, marines that fateful day.
Look across the harbor's blue waters at Ford Island, the center of the assault, and you’ll imagine the chaos and madness. You'll get to see the actual USS Arizona Memorial, which rests atop the actual sunken battleship that trapped over 1,000 servicemen on that fateful day of the attack. This somber monument commemorates their ultimate sacrifice; their names etched in the memorial's wall of remembrance that was rededicated in 2014. You'll pause in tribute to those who gave their lives. This graceful monument built over the remains of the sunken ship provides a moving tribute. Oil from the Arizona continues seeping to the surface. These "black tears" serve as poignant reminders of America's great loss.
